MISSION
The mission of the Office of Internal Audit is to provide independent, objective assurance, and consulting services designed to add value and improve the University's operations. The Office of Internal Audit helps the University accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluation and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

To accomplish our mission, the Office of Internal Audit has established the following core values:

Internal Audit Charter
Our engagements are guided by a charter which establishes the our purpose, authority, and responsibilities. The charter is approved by the Mississippi State Institutions of Higher Learning's Board of Trustees.
