Tyler began his position with MSU Internal Audit in September 2020. He began his career at T.E. Lott and Company performing audit and tax work, then joined the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor in its county audit division. He also completed internships with KPMG and Georgia-Pacific. Tyler became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2015 and was awarded the Silas M. Simmons Bronze Medal for achieving the third highest CPA exam score in Mississippi that year. Tyler currently serves as the Deputy Editor of the Association of College and University Auditors’ (ACUA) College and University Auditor Journal. In 2012, Tyler earned his Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University.
